As a guest of the Oceano Health Spa Hotel, you will be staying on a flat spit of land in the midst of the idyllic fishing village of Punta del Hidalgo. This is where the untamed dynamic forces of the sea meet a craggy coastline, flanked by the picturesque silhouette of the Anaga range of mountains.

The Rooms

The generously proportioned studios and suites (from 28 to 80 m²) are furnished in Mediterranean style. All rooms have a sea view, most of them with a spacious balcony, with panoramic views to the sea or to the Pico del Teide volcano. The friendly atmosphere will give you a feeling of well-being and makes you feel at home.

The Océano Spa & The Océano Medical Center

The health concept includes complete integrated treatments and applications, which endow new energy and vitalising effects in a gentle, natural way. The Océano Spa works hand in hand with the Océano Medical Center. At the hands of the experienced doctors and therapists in the Medical Spa, you can enjoy health and fitness treatments tuned to your individual needs. It combines relaxation and healing powers: Ayurveda, Thalassotherapy, Shiatsu, Massage, Yoga, Cosmetics as well as F.X. Mayr Therapy, Detox, Acupuncture, Oxygen therapy, Osteopathy, Immune system stimulation, Colonic irrigation therapy.

In the Océano Medical Center you will learn what it means to recharge your batteries in the natural environment of the roaring waves, mild Atlantic climate and rooms flooded with light. The experienced doctors and therapists will be pleased to support you during your treatments, in which they will attentively accompany you towards the goal of the treatment.

Swimming Pool

Outside you can dive into the waters of the Atlantic in the public seawater swimming pool, protected by a wall from the largest of waves and then soak up the sun by relaxing on the roof terrace or Nude Deck under the endless skies of Tenerife. The Océano Medical Spa comprises a modern spa area, which offers you sustained recuperation of body and soul for the duration of your holiday. And the Medical Center is the only accredited centre for F. X. Mayr Medicine in Spain. The modern Mayr medicine concept is a holistic approach to preventive treatment, the correction of eating habits and general improvements to health. It is based on the discovery that the optimum function of our intestine is the basis for sound health.

Green Policy

Sustainability was paramount in the latest refurbishment at Océano. Here´s what they do now:

• Have a ban on disposable plastics
• Reusable water bottles have been introduced

• Save energy (use of solar panels, new pergolas providing shade, solar control filter on the windows, key cards turn off appliances when rooms not in use)
• Save water (because of the improvement of the pool filtration system)
• New pool cover to maintain temperature
• Local tree and plant species have been introduced to the garden
