The thermal baths hotel San Juan de la Font Santa, in the south of the island, enjoys a very privileged location. Its situation in the town of Campos allows you to combine a stay at the mineral springs while discovering a different side of Majorca. The only mineral springs spa in the Balearic Islands is home to a typically Majorcan hotel, with thick walls made from local stone and high wooden beamed ceilings, that conserves its romantic and traditional charm dating back to when it was inaugurated in 1845.

The hotel, a one-story building, features a spectacular antique-filled central corridor. The hotel’s 19 rooms are decorated with antique furniture from different periods, including glass teardrop lamps and canopied beds. The spacious rooms offer simplicity and tranquility, which combines ideally with any thermal treatment program.

The spa’s thermal waters are classified as medicinal-mineral waters, or natural underground waters, which are difficult to reproduce under artificial conditions. Due to their unique physical and chemical properties and the salts they contain that can be used for therapeutic purposes, the waters are declared to be of benefit to the public. The fact that they use medicinal mineral waters in their treatments and programs and have a medical service and all the necessary facilities to conduct treatment means that San Juan de la Font Santa is recognised as the Balearic Island’s only thermal mineral springs spa.

It is also the mineral properties of their waters that set them apart from regular spas, wellness centres and ‘urban spas’. The spring waters of Balneario de San Juan de la Font Santa are classified as medicinal mineral waters rich in sodium chloride and high in mineral content. They emerge at the ground surface at a temperature of 38ºC and were first declared of public use in 1869. The mineral components of the water at the spa help to stimulate numerous metabolic functions in the body. Sodium chloride rich waters administered in baths have an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect on the skin, help scar formation and tissue repair and improve lymph and blood circulation.

When thermal spa programs are carried out for several days, the spring water has an impact on the different systems of the body.
