Originally from China and India, the most efficient techniques have been developed in Thailand. The traditional Thai massage is a time-tested body therapy that has lived on for over 20 centuries. The Thai philosophy of wisdom and knowledge allow the highest levels of wellbeing to be reached in the temple of the spirit and feeling that is the human body. Traditional Thai massage is the most important feature of this philosophy of peace, calm and harmony. The highly effective techniques combine gentle rhythmic rolling, deep pressure and stretching to release tension and to create true harmony between body and mind.
The expert massage therapists that make up the technical team of the Thai Spa have all been trained as professionals at the renowned National School of Thai Massage in Wat Pho, Bangkok. There are five interior double private cabins where couples can unwind together and three of these have direct access to a private garden, as well as a petal strewn spa bath and separate shower. Two of the cabins have Tatami style beds for Thai massage and reflexology and three have raised beds where scrubs, wraps, aroma massages and Ayurvedic treatments are offered. In addition the spa has a pool with outdoor swimming area and a Turkish steam bath. There are a further two exterior cabins where Thai massage is offered and a Jacuzzi bath in the lush garden has views across to the mountains and the sea.
Next to the Spa, the hotel puts at your disposal a fitness studio with state of the art equipment. The trainers of the hotel are at guests’ disposal to instruct how to use the machines and what exercises can be done.
