Mallorca - Yoga for Kids
The ¨Yoga for kids¨ programs offered in co-operation with the Son Mas Hotel and Vedamar Ayurveda and Yoga centre are custom made and have as theme¨Strengthening of the immune system and improvement of learning ability¨. The playful practicing of Asana or Pranayam exercises allows your child to concentrate better and to resist distraction by outside influences. This increases the power of concentration, trains the overall sensory perception and leads, among other things, to a better learning ability. The consideration of the Yamas and Niyamas (rules for a friendly and constructive interaction with oneself and the environment) can lead to a noticeable improvement of social interactions. The playful posture, breathing and meditation exercises improve the children´s motor skills, the perception in general and that of their own body. Yoga strengthens the immune system and prevents malpositions.

Mallorca - Son Mas and Vedamar Ayurveda & Yoga Centre

Son Mas is a historic farm property surrounded by more than 200.000 m2. It is located in a serene rural area on the east-coast of Mallorca, about 4,5 km from Porto Cristo and 15 km from Porto Colom. For years this area was known for the cultivation of almonds, carobs and figs as well as the breeding of pigs and sheep. These activities still exist in the surroundings, giving a charming and quiet atmosphere to this rural area.
Porto Cristo is a natural shelter where you can have a nice fish meal on the sea shore or participate in nautical activities like a wonderful boat tour; you can also visit the impressive ¨Drach¨ Caves.
The hotel inhabits original 17th-century structures that belonged to a Mallorcan posesió (farm), a few years ago the buildings have been lovingly restored with great respect for old details.
The property’s 16 rooms are all junior suites of approximately 50m2, including a large and well-equipped bathroom, spacious private terrace, air conditioning, minibar, safe, satellite TV, and high-speed Internet.
The hotel has a number of relaxing lounges, several equipped with fireplaces, as well as big outdoor terraces where guests can always find a private spot to relax.
The restaurant features a beautiful vaulted ceiling, though in spring and summer most guests prefer to take their breakfast or dinner outside on the porch or terrace.
The outdoor pool is located in a quiet and sunny spot just a few steps from the main building, ideal for relaxation and privacy. During the winter months, the hotel also has a nice indoor pool with a Jacuzzi.
For health-conscious guests, there is a small Spa equipped with a heated pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, massage and cosmetic treatment rooms as well as a space for yoga and stretching.
The yoga and treatments are carried out by Vedamar Ayurveda & Yoga centre. It is run by professionals. Trust, closeness and touch require special knowledge. The staff has great professional competence. They continue education and special trainings, which together among other things, are the foundation of their success.
