The Rooms

The Epic Sana Algarve Hotel features 3 different areas: the main hotel building, the apartments and the suites. Inspired by the pine forest that surrounds the resort, the green of the trees is the dominant theme of the decor of the rooms, apartments and suites. The rooms ample spaces blend perfectly with the outdoors and all boast a private decked terrace and a living area. The design, combined with the latest technology, offers you a one-of-a-kind experience, where comfort and well-being make a difference.

Sayanna Wellness centre

The 1500m2 Sayanna Wellness centre is an invitation to the well-being of body and mind. Strongly inspired by Oriental treatments, the spa has 9 treatment rooms including a Vichy shower room, massage rooms and a beauty parlour with outdoor terraces, 2 tents and an outdoor pavilion with garden for treatments for couples, a private Jacuzzi and fantastic views over the Atlantic Ocean. There is also a sauna, Turkish bath and an indoor swimming pool.

The team at Sayanna Wellness centre will offer you a luxury spa experience. Wellbeing is their essence and their philosophy is to create memorable wellness experiences for their guests. Activities

The Epic Sana Algarve Hotel is a perfect place for a healthy holiday. You can choose from a variety of programs, from yoga, Anti-stress and detox to a weight loss/ fitness program. All programs are carefully put together and are always supervised by professionals with lots of experience in their field.

The Fitness Centre has a gym with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and bodybuilding equipment. The hotel offers an activity schedule of 1-2 activities a day, which are free to all hotel guests. These classes are held in a purpose built room.

Green Policy

Epic Sana does a lot to prove how important sustainability is for them. For example, they:

We really enjoyed it!!! The preparation was very nice, your fast communication really made us to chose SIS to organise our holiday. EPIC Sana was wonderfully luxurious, clean and what a lovely people everywhere! The fact that the staff paid so much attention paid to us and to our bodies during the treatments made the whole experience complete. The only tip is that in our case we were the only ones in the hotel who followed the program at that moment and therefore we were easily ¨forgotten¨. We made sure that we could have lunch in the cozy bar instead of the large empty restaurant, but that was all possible and not a problem at all. Perhaps there could be a a bit more choice of different tastes, because we did not like the porridge, whole wheat pancakes and green bean soup, for example. The nicest and most beautiful moment of last week was the SPA where we had the best treatments. We will definitely recommend you!

We love this

The personal attention and guidance the personal trainers give you during the program is exceptional! They even join you for dinner if you wish and are there to support you all the way through your program
The location is spectacular, near the cliffs overlooking the beach & ocean, surrounded by pine forest, it gives you a real sense of peace and tranquility
You can access the wooden stairs that wind their way down to the award-winning Falesia beach direct from the hotel grounds.
The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed in natural colours and with a large balcony

This not so much...

This is not a hotel exclusively dedicated to wellness. There are also ´normal´ holiday guests. If you follow a weight loss or detox program your diet is served in the normal restaurant where you´ll have to walk past a large buffet every evening so some self discipline is required.
This is not an adult only hotel and particularly in the school holidays you will find families with children. However there is an adult-only pool and if you do wish to take your children there is a kids club so you can enjoy some treatments while your children are being looked after.
The Algarve is very touristy. So, whilst you have perfect peace in the hotel, if you venture out expect to see a fair bit of hustle and bustle.

Our tips

Traditional food market in Olhão: Olhão Food Market is located along the water front, which is a 'must visit' for the huge variety of fresh fish and sea food straight from the port and the vast array of locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables. Olhão is well known for it's fish market. Also take this opportunity to have lunch in one of the numerous local cafes along the roadside nearby - you won't be disappointed!
Take a boat trip to Ria Formosa: Ria Formosa has been elected one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal. The Ria Formosa is mainly a coastal lagoon separated from the sea by five barrier islands and two peninsulas with unique landscapes and breathtaking views. In this protected area you will find environments such as barrier islands, marshes, sand banks, dams, dunes, freshwater ponds, water courses, farmland and forests and of course a great diversity of flora and fauna. At Ria Formosa you can also find ecotourism activities and boat trips. This is a beautiful area to enjoy incredible moments during your holiday.
