The resort consists of 3 hotels, The Galosol family hotel, Alpino Atlantico Ayurveda Hotel and the Galomar adult-only hotel. The resort has 3 restaurants. The guests who book half board will have breakfast in the Atlantis restaurant at Galomar and dinner will be in the buffet restaurant of the Galosol Hotel. Then there is a third á la carte pizzeria restaurant. The Atlantis restaurant at Galomar is also available in the evening for á a la carte fish and sea food grill dishes.

The rooms

The Galomar Hotel is an Adult-only hotel within the Galo resort. The hotel is Madeira´s first green hotel building, A + energy-certified hospitality and 100% self-sufficient with regards to energy. This building offers a unique cliff-edge location, an adult-only seawater outdoor pool as well as a luxurious SPA with panoramic ocean front views from the saunas and an enchanted Yoga Garden. 

The Galomar Hotel has 77 fully refurbished rooms offering modern facilities. All rooms are divided over different categories such as garden view, side sea view, sea view, top cliff rooms or Suites and boast a private terrace or balcony.

Ashoka Spa

The Galomar Hotel has a brand new Spa, based on the holistic concept of the lifestyle brand "Ashoka Ayurveda“. With an impressive cliff- top location with magnificent ocean-views, the new spa offers panoramic saunas (Bio and Finnish), steam bath, infra-red sauna, a panoramic resting room with terrace and a charming aromatic herb garden. There is also a yoga and meditation room.

At the Spa you will be given the opportunity to heal and rejuvenate by removing environmental toxins from the body with special Ayurveda or detox treatments, energy work and relaxing treatments.

Activities

Activities at Galo Resort Hotels include their own extensive fitness centre, professionally equipped with climbing wall, cardio equipment such as running, cycling and rowing machines, stepper, weight lift room, fitness room for spinning, aerobic, power jump, step, pilates, body work out, flexi bar etc. Also there are multifunctional courts located directly on the premises available for squash, table tennis, basketball, badminton, volleyball etc. The long standing water sports and diving centre offers internationally recognised certifications. There is also a mountain bike station and superior quality golf services within the Resort.
