Mas Salagros is an EcoResort where they strive daily to provide a sustainable tourism option for their guests, with energy savings, biofuel, low-power lighting and eco-friendly products.

SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE - Bioclimatism

This eco-friendly hotel has been created with sustainability in mind from the very beginning. They have used plant insulation in the buildings, which are all south-facing to take advantage of the sunlight and reduce energy use. In addition, some of them also have green roofs to help absorb CO2 and other particles, and to keep in the humidity and maintain a pleasant ambient temperature indoors.

The Rooms

Enjoy waking up surrounded by nature, light and peace, all of the rooms and suites feature furnishings made from reused or recycled materials, as well as 100% eco-friendly mattresses, linens and amenities.

Enjoy a restorative break in its sustainable architecture suites, all of which have complete bathrooms with ecological amenities. At Mas Salagros there are 14 rooms with private terrace, 24 rooms with private garden, 17 Garden Suites ( Jr Suites ) and 5 Suites... each suite is unique and different from the rest.

The Thermal baths

Find your moment of relaxation at Mas Salagros with a thermal tour and a relaxing massage or an exclusive ritual by the international firm AIRE Ancient Baths.

The setting is beautiful and certainly unique. Enjoy an unforgettable candlelit journey of sensations in a farmhouse dating back to the 15th century, with its circuit of 6 different pools, each of which has a different water temperature:

Caldarium (Hot Water Bath / 40º)

Balneum (Thousand Jet Bath) 
Laconicum (Steam Bath)

The Cuisine

The Cuisine in Mas Salagros offers organic, local produce to bring you a one-of-a-kind experience. Their philosophy is based on eating what the land gives us, this is why their gastronomic offer adapts to the changing seasons. This EcoResort offers 3 totally different gastronomic options:

Restaurant 1497, a place full of charm and, of course, good food. A truly unique restaurant, only for diners over 8 years old. It is located in the heart of a nature reserve and serves Mediterranean cuisine made with organic, seasonal, local produce.

Cibus is an idyllic space with a lovely outdoor terrace for the perfect organic breakfast, a meal with family or friends, or a healthy afternoon snack. Enjoy the lunch set menu or choose from their organic tapas and small dishes to satisfy your mid-afternoon hunger. All with unique views of  the Parc de la Serralada Litoral.

Gastro Wine Bar, welcomes foodies! This will quickly become your new favourite bar outside of Barcelona. At this Gastro Wine Bar, you’ll find one of the best organic wine lists, plus an excellent selection of tapas and small dishes. Of course, you can also enjoy a perfectly poured beer. All surrounded by nature and tranquillity, not far from Barcelona.

Activities

In Mas Salagros they organize activities on a daily basis over Easter, in the summer and at Christmas. During the rest of the year, activities are available at weekends only. 

Wine tasting with the sommelier: We all know when we like a wine and when we don’t, but do you know why? Is it because a wine is better or lower quality? The science of oenology is not easy to master, but here at Mas Salagros you’ll start to learn more.

Cooking classes with the Chef: Cooking well is a skill only some master and many want to learn. Cooking organic, with seasonal, local produce is even better. It gets the best out of what the earth has to offer.

Yoga classes: Yoga is a discipline that has been practiced for a long time, but really hit the mainstream in recent years. Its techniques are designed to exercise body and mind, essential for fighting stress and the frenetic pace of modern life.

Walks and hikes: The Resort offers guests the chance to go on hiking trails in the Natural Serralada Litoral Park and marvel at country lodges and the flora and fauna surrounding the complex.

Green Policy

As an Eco Resort sustainability is paramount in everything they do at Mas Salagros. For example, they:

• Use ecological building materials and renewable energies
• Buildings have been constructed south facing to optimise sunlight and heat
• Cotton pergolas and wooden awnings provide shade 
• Natural ventilation reduces the need for aircon
• Provide chargers for electric vehicles
• Green roofs insulate the buildings, absorb CO2 and other particles as well as blend in with the landscape
• The vegetable garden, farm and vineyard supply part of the restaurant and bar
• All food served is 100% organic (apart from fish and seafood) 
• Only organise wines and beers are offered
• Only local suppliers are used
• Organic cleaning products are used
