The Palácio first opened its doors in the 1930's and during the Second World War, due to Portugal's neutrality, housed many royal families who had gone into exile in Estoril, which became known as the "Coast of Kings". The Hotel Palácio was the chosen home of many members of European royalty and was also the haunt of British and German spies. To this day this venue is still popular with Royals, nobility and film stars alike.

A stay here is like traveling back in time, but on a journey that also continues into the present and future. After many renovations and refurbishments over the years, today's Palácio Hotel retains many of the original characteristics as well as all the comforts and convenience of a modern luxury five-star hotel. Rooms

There are 161 rooms at Palácio Estoril offering 8 different categories. 

The Classic double rooms are elegant, beautifully decorated with contemporary touches. The rooms are welcoming and create a sensation of timeless comfort, ideal for those special moments and for a restful stay. These rooms measure between 20 and 25 square metres and have views over the town of Estoril. They are furnished with twin, queen or king size beds and with a marble bathroom. Some bathrooms have a separate bath and shower. The rooms have free WIFI, cable TV, air conditioning with individual thermostat, safe, desk, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer and Molton Brown toiletries.

The Superior Double rooms are very similar to the Classic, however in addition some have a small balcony.

SAUNA: Feel your tension melting away in this dry chamber. With a high temperature, heavy perspiration is induced which in turn eliminates impurities in the body. As blood circulation improves, your immune system also receives a boost. 

SENSATIONS SHOWERS: Surrender yourself to the powerful effect of the water jets. The soothing waterfall has the effect of a gentle and relaxing body massage while cleaning the skin. 

TURKISH BATH: The warmth of the Turkish bath induces an intense perspiration. With the opening of skin pores, toxins and impurities from the body are eliminated. As the body relaxes and rejuvenates, feel the tension melt away from your muscles.
