Healthy Smoothie. It is not a new recommendation that we should all be eating 5 portions of fruit & veg a day but sometimes it just seems so hard to fit them in, on the school run, running to the office, meetings… do you think you get your 5 on an average day?
With the Nutribullet and other similar appliances disappearing off the shelves at great speed it would seem that there are so many people catching on to the convenience of smoothies and it makes perfect sense: they are quick to prepare, easy to store and you can drink them on the move.
Healthy Smoothie recipes are ten a penny and can focus on weightloss, detox, high protein as well as getting your 5 a day.
Here in Mallorca the office it is getting so hot, so we decided that we could all do with a refreshing fruity healthy smoothie. It is so hard to go wrong with fruit, any combination seems to taste so good, it´s packed full of vitamins and taste delicious.
Today´s recipe for our ¨Wake-Up Call¨ Smoothie, which is super simple, refreshing, energising and perfect to kick start the day the healthy way and making sure you had your 5 a day! 🙂
Ingredients of this healthy smoothie:
- A chunk of Watermelon
- 1/2 Honey Dew Melon
- Frozen Mango
- Strawberries
- Oramge
- Coconut water
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Add more liquid if too thick. As simple as that!
