Colour your Life!

Could you ever imagine a world without colours? No way!! Aren´t we all inspired in front of the beauty of a green landscape, a virgin white beach and turquoise sea, a carmine sunset, a blue sky or a field full of red coloured poppies… But what you did not know is that the beauty of colours exercises our eye and influences our psyche in an indirect, but determining way. Which makes that colours have an important effect on our health and wellbeing.

Colours can have a good or a bad influence on our state of mind. They play a not unimportant role on our feelings and can make us more creative, more optimistic, or on the other hand more pessimists.

Chromotherapy, sometimes called colour therapy or colorology, is an harmonizing method that helps natural healing and improve wellbeing by the use of colours. Wherever the body is lacking energy balance, be it physically, emotionally, spiritually, or mentally, chromotherapy has a healing colour treatment. It is often used as a supportive therapy combined with other treatments such as massages, hydro baths, sauna sessions, relaxation sessions, meditation, body treatments, etc.

Chromotherapy’s purpose is to create changes in our mental and physical state using multi-colour light systems. These changes greatly influence the condition of our emotions, balancing our bodies’ energies, and restoring overall health.

Healing Colors of Chromotherapy:

Red: Red is a good colour if you feel you are lacking vibrancy. Red is Associated with courage, loyalty and perseverance.  But it is not a good colour to wear above the waist if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure as it is thought to increase stress or anxiety

Blue: Blue is a good colour if you need more calm in your life; blue isn’t considered a good colour if you have low blood pressure. Blue alleviates pain. It is beneficial in the treatment of headaches, migraines, stomach pains and muscle cramps.

Orange: Symbolic of the sun, prosperity and pride. Orange evokes compassion; is used for stimulating blood supply and energizing the nerves and to treat depression, discontent and pessimism.

Yellow: Yellow is associated with feelings of freedom, joy and happiness. yellow is believed to have effects that greatly assist the metabolism and strengthen the nervous system.

Green: Made up of blue and yellow, green is regarded as a color of harmony, capable of a harmonizing effect. Being highly medicinal and depressive, green promotes relaxation and a sense of calmness.

Violet: Violet is a meditative colour. Violet is beneficial in the relaxation of muscles and treatment of nervous system.
