A big thank you for organising my fantastic holiday at the Oceano in Tenerife.
My third time there and it is just getting better. I have had a tough 12 months supporting my family, and the holiday was perfect to start the recovery journey for myself.
The holiday was well-prepared by SIS, all the stress removed and lots of suggestions and flexibility offered.
The Hotel has improved thanks to the significant refurbishments. Lovely rooms and hotel.
I changed to a half board after a couple of days but kept the spa programme. The diet does not provide enough calories to support a very active programme, and I felt faint a couple of times. The medical staff were great and understood that my diet tracking and exercise monitoring showed the calorie deficiency.
The spa staff are great - they care about you and our experience, so friendly - you are not just a customer

My most beautiful memory of my SIS holiday is swimming at dawn in the public seawater pool - it is peaceful and cleansing.

It couldn't be better organised. Although I already knew the area, I live nearby, both the hotel and its facilities are very good. It is noticeable that they have taken into account people who go alone, creating various spaces where I felt very comfortable. Special attention to the exquisite treatment received by the staff.
For me, when evaluating the experience, multiple factors have influenced me, as it has been a physical and mental Detox. The only thing I missed was more days of holidays.
My most beautiful memory is feeling the closeness in the treatment, not feeling like just another client... but the best thing is what I have learnt thanks to the SIS travel philosophy.

It was well prepared. Thank you. The first impression was nice, but knew it from before so, as expected. I had no real expectations of the package. Losing a little more weight might have made it more complete :) There was nothing missing. The sea pool down on the rocks, views, the restaurant, good company and rest. Overall, a good break. Very positive and relaxing. Thought the Oceano could tighten up its act on admin. There is a different booking system for the hotel, spa, doctor and gym. And the overall schedules weren’t obviously optimized around the objective of the Weight Loss package. Some of the treatments were probably not needed. I will certainly return.

The holiday was very well organised, good transfer, didn't have to worry about anything. First impression was that it was beautiful hotel, very spacious. Also the rooms are super. I had a single room but wouldn't know why you couldn't stay there as a couple. Separate bathroom, separate toilet, corner to sit, fridge, big bed, in short, complete! As for me, more excursions could have been offered from the hotel. There was now 1 hike offered per week, which was also a bit limited. Fortunately, the surroundings themselves were beautiful. On the last day, I went on a beautiful hike in the hotel's backyard, which was really super. Furthermore, I really liked the atmosphere in the hotel. It was also not at all bad to eat alone. Everyone was super friendly and the wellness was really lovely. Breakfast and dinner were also very good.

I really enjoyed my stay at Oceano Hotel a lot. It was very well prepared and very very nice. Only when I arrived, I didn't see the transfer immediately and when I asked about it, everyone asked me what the name of the transfer company was, which I didn't know… maybe good to mention that the transfer is provided by the hotel itself. After a bit of searching, I came across a man with the sign 'Oceano'. Happy!
The hotel has a very good location, beautiful, clean, luxurious, and very nice people.
Really good treatments! I was very happy with all of them. I didn't miss anything, maybe a relaxed excursion for 1 day, otherwise you'll be in the hotel for 7 days, but I didn't mind that much. The first massage I got was so good, I almost got emotional…
It is very important for your health to do this at least once a year. Very relaxed, hotel is all about rest and relaxation (and delicious food), especially the breakfast. Very nice people, you feel at ease. All in all, a very nice experience!! Thanks again and see you next time!

The stay was perfectly organized, the first impression was of tranquility. In fact it is the quietest hotel in which I have stayed so far. This is one of the reasons that made me feel that my detox holiday was complete. I would also like to highlight the spaciousness of the rooms, its minimalist decor and small details that give it a cozy look, as well as wooden furniture, large and very healthy plants, paintings. The exterior areas are impressive. The garden honors the interior and the size of the pool is huge, not often you find semi-Olympic pools, something I appreciated very much! And the views are spectacular at any time of the day and night: "the city lights" marking the coastline is another relaxing image for me. But the most beautiful memory for me are the sunsets. The whole stay is a 10, thank you for discovering it for me!

The SIS team offered a super service. The hotel looks exactly like on the pictures and has a very nice garden and pool area. I liked most that I had no stress, really good food, water/tea and professional therapists. The hammam towel and the nice letter from the SIS team is a really nice memory from the holiday. Having just returned from Océano with three girlfriends, all from England, we all feel completely rejuvenated and revitalised. We all visited for various different reasons from weight loss, stress management, detoxing and generally “letting go” and all benefitted enormously. While the rooms were very simple, they were immaculate and comfortable with beautiful sea views.
The treatments were the best I’ve ever experienced and have had a long lasting effect. The experience has given me a whole new perspective on how to live my life.
I loved being near the sea and swimming every day. The food was carefully controlled but has put me in the right mindset to follow healthy and balanced diet.

The holiday was well prepared by SIS. Good explanation in advance and SIS guided me well. If I had any questions, I got an immediate answer. My first impression of Océano Hotel Health Spa was WOW! Super hotel and so beautifully located. At the sea. Palm trees. Super friendly reception.
T he personal attention made this wellness trip complete. All the therapists were really interested in me and thought with me about my Restless legs condition. I had an extra treatment with an osteopath. And this man advised me an osteopath in the Netherlands.
I have so many best memories of this trip. The meals were superb. The personal attention, the view from my hotel room, the treatments were wonderful! I want to go back!!! And I will definitely book my next trip with SIS! I am very grateful!

We had a lovely time. The hotel was extremely comfortable and all the staff were charming.
Detailed information was given to us on arrival and our rooms were very nice. We were lucky with the weather, it made a big difference to be able to read in the sunshine in the nice poolside gardens.
We particularly enjoyed the walk along the coast every day and swimming in the huge sea water pool just in front of the hotel.

I have spoken about the cure to friends and I hope they will try it. If the Mayr seems too drastic though, then maybe one of the other SIS spa offerings.

The Mayr Cure program went far beyond by expectations. Having initially considered the Thalasso program the Mayr Cure was by far the best option for me, I have never experienced such an extraordinary recovery! I have continued the program at home for 4 more weeks (with the Mayr-doctor’s advice) and have recovered good health and strength. I have lost about 18 kg and most of my cellulitis has melted away, disappeared. I can truly say that this stay at Oceano’s Mayr clinic been a life changing experience!

I thought the program was very good, it was very similar to the Mayr spa in Lanserhof in Lans, which I still consider to be the best but for those with a much greater budget. The only downside was the micro climate in Tenerife North, which meant we had little sunshine during our stay.

Just lovely, beautiful surrounding, good hotel, fantasic massages! De Ayurveda Wellness program combined with the Thalasso New Balance diet was perfect. I did not have to think about anything, just enjoying the massages, the food, my books and the surroundings. The staff was very friendly. My suitcase did not go on the flight, it was delivered the next day, but the hotel supplied a toothbrush, comb and flipflops, that was very helpful!

The rooms are a bit basic for the price, however overall I found the hotel to be great, especially the location, spa services, food and staff. The thalassotherapy program was just the right thing to relax and relieve stress:), very nice atmosphere and definitely relaxing.

I booked the Mayr cure, and this was great. The hotel is a bit dated but has been recently renovated, in lovely bright colors. Good that the Mayr restaurant is separated from the normal restaurant. Very nice and helpful service in the restaurants. The treatments at the spa were all very professional.

The whole experience was amazing, I moved from Thalasso to Mayr Detox and I feel great!
So I give it 10 out of 10! I changed programmes but it exceeded my expectations, the treatments were marvellous, even though a couple were'uncomfortable!' The staff are very friendly and helpful. The position of the hotel is lovely, right on the sea, the room spacious.

The Hotel was fabulous. For my husband who was not on the cure, the food was delicious, our apartment extremely comfortable, the pool and gardens lovely and above all the staff were the best we have ever had. The hotel was very nice, the location amazing with the outdoor pool overlooking the Ocean. Unfortunately my husband only lost half a kilo with the Mayr diet. I had the Thalasso diet, although this was not really a weight loss diet, more a diet with light food but for example one day they gave me pasta and the other paella. Nevertheless I lost 1,5 kg, more than my husband!
The massages, therapists and service all very well and we have visited a lot of spas. During the time we were there, there were only Germans... not being German we felt a bit isolated, it was hard to socialize with the other guests.
In general we are very satisfied. It is the perfect place to relax, make walks, to go for a swim in the Ocean in December or better said in the pools filled with sea water. The room was very comfortable.

I spent a wonderful two weeks on Teneriffe. My room was lovely, the hotel is situated at a great place. Never ending surfs! The spa treatments were very nice. The hotel staff is great; very professional, attentive and always in good spirits. The cuisine was mostly good; one time very nice. What I would have appreciated would have been to have room service outside of the restaurant operating hours as sometimes the spa treatments did not allow to have lunch between 1300 and 1500.

We had a great time at Océano! It is a very nice place to stay. The breakfast buffet is great, the garden is beautiful, the staff is super friendly and we love the (public) Ocean pool around the corner. The atmosphere is a bit 'elderly', but if you are looking for tranquility that really doesn´t matter. The transfers to and from the airport were also perfect.
Dinner was okay, but no more than that. Well nutritious but not very sophisticated in taste or presentation. On the menu it looked often better than on the plate. We felt that the Thalasso Therapy indoor was not really worth the effort.

However, all services at the hotel, staff, etc. were perfect. The Mayr Cure Program was very good but very tough in the beginning. We didn't know what to expect, but it´s a highly professional program obviously based on scientific evidence and long time experience. The ocean and vegetation coupled with the professional staff, beautiful housing, pool and garden make it a perfect framework for detoxing and healing.

Oceano is a lovely hotel set in a beautiful, un-spoilt, relaxing location. It offers numerous treatments, classes and excursions to suit a variety of guests. The Ayurvedic treatments are not tailored to individual specific requirements, but are high quality and relaxing nonetheless.

¨It was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the waves below my window and the salt water pool was a real bonus. A 10 for the cure, the rates I thought were very reasonable and the massages of very good quality. An 8 for the hotel. The rooms were excellent and the service very good overall, the reception space needs a spruce-up. The concentration was more towards the spiritual than the clinical which I liked. A good chef with thoughtful food. Overall a rewarding holiday, good value, an excellent kick-start to good health.¨

I found that there wasn't enough shade around the pool area, no umbrellas at all. The Ocean pool has nothing to do with the hotel at all, it's a city pool with a lot of lovely locals swimming and sunbathing there. I actually liked it, but again nowhere to hide from the sun.¨

¨The week finished well once the sun came out. Tenerife when its damp and misty is no fun at all! The Doctor Rolle was wonderful and probably the best qualified Mayr doctor that I have met. The osteopath, brilliant and the girls in the spa gave fantastic massages, like nowhere else. The spa rooms were beautiful and very relaxing and the bedrooms, well decorated and spacious. ¨My friend & I had a wonderful time at the hotel, the staff from the minute we arrived were absolutely fantastic. The hotel is very nice and the room facilities were great. The facilities are brilliant especially with the yoga classes and all the other activities which you could participate in. I tried the yoga class which was great overlooking the sea and the therapy pool which is wonderfully relaxing. All the hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant food is highly recommended, a good selection of breakfast/lunch/ dinner.
We only have mixed opinions on the couple of treatments. My friend who had the relaxing massage and the reflexology was extremely happy with her therapist and ended up booking another massage. I had the Shiatsu which really was not what I had experienced before and was a little bit disappointed, however the place where the treatment takes place is beautiful as it is allocated near the hotel but not in the hotel. The other massage, a relaxing massage, I found a bit disappointing. However this is a personal opinion and is based on the therapists assigned and being compared to treatments I have had in the past. Others may find both treatments acceptable.
In 1 sentence I would describe this Spa and Wellness experience as highly recommend spending time away doing nothing. It is a great experience!¨

¨I had a good week thanks. I would rate the overall a 7/10. However certain aspects like the therapists were a 10/10, as was the view. However other aspects score lower because of the lack of English information. This wouldnt't be necessary for a "normal" hotel but the seperate dining room for The Cure etc was not explained to me and I had to work everything out (because no english signage). The cure was very good. The food, despite being a restricted diet in line with the cure was very good. Again the selection on the tables to choose from was only written in German and Spanish - not a huge problem I just asked them to choose for me - but it would have been nice to know what some of the "specilaist" food was like the almond past etc.
It it a very relaxed, non intrusive break where you can switch off and relax – which was exactly what I needed. The room did have a fantsatic sea view and a balcony you can sit out.¨
